Landing pages: as an online marketer, you can't really avoid them and you've probably heard of them... Yet a successful landing page is still quite a mysterious phenomenon. Therefore, we have written an article about what exactly is a landing page, why you would want to design a landing page and which tools you can use for this purpose. One of those tools is a well-known name: Landingi! In this article, we will specifically discuss the page builder Landingi, what its advantages and disadvantages are and what alternatives you can consider.
Although Landingi is a good and user-friendly tool, it may not be of interest to everyone....
Landingi
Landingi is a software tool that allows you to quickly and easily design landing pages and use them in your marketing funnels. The platform actually targets any audience that can benefit from an optimized landing page: whether you are an entrepreneur, a marketing expert or work at an agency. Anyone can get started with it! As usual with these types of tools, Landingi also works with a full drag-and-drop interface, allowing you to easily drag and drop elements of your choice into your design. By the way, that doesn't mean you can't "tweak" the design using CSS and/or PHP. You can additionally create pop-ups and integrate them into your landing page or external website. In fact, Landingi allows you to download your entire design and upload it to your own server; a feature you don't come across very often with this type of page builder. There are also plugins for WordPress and Shopify.
A summary of Landingi's key features are:
- Landing page builder
- Pop-up builder
- More than 300 templates for landing pages
- Page Insider: AI tool for optimizing your landing page
- Digital product sale: sell your digital products directly from your landing page
- Integrations with most popular tools
- Build and integrate different funnels
Possible "use cases" for using Landingi include:
- Lead generation
- Product and services sales
- PPC ads
- Email marketing
If you want to know more about all the in's and out's of this software, you can check out the review below.
As a new user of Landingi, you can first get started with the 14-day trial period, which allows you to easily try the software for a while. After this, you will have to choose one of the packages offered: Core ($29 per month), Create ($65 per month), Automate ($89 per month) or Agency ($109 per month). Note that all of the prices listed are billed once a year, so you do spend a larger sum at that time. The main distinction between the packages concerns the number of visits per month that Landingi allows: the more visitors you forward, the more you'll have to pay. With this, the pricing is fairly clear; in fact, chances are you will make more sales with more visitors, so you can describe this model as pay-as-you-go. The main functionality to create landing pages is found in all subscriptions.
Evaluation criteria of alternatives
So while we think Landingi is a good tool, it is certainly not the only one on the market. In fact, there are quite a few alternatives to choose from: in our little research for this article, we quickly came up with 39(!) listed other builders. So that you don't have to rush straight to Landingi's website is now clear, but how do you know which tool is right for you? And is there much difference between the different landing page builders?
We scoured websites, blogs and comparison sites to scrutinize all the names, but in the end we focus on the most important tools. To assess whether a program is an interesting alternative, we looked at the criteria below.
- Opportunities and USPs.
Ultimately, features determine the real power of a program. In a good, modern landing page, ease of use and speed should be particularly important, but there are more features to pay attention to, such as the design of pop-ups or questionnaires. Important to increase conversion is, for example, the ability to split test (A/B) or personalize. Integrations with other tools can also be important, but that will depend a bit more on your personal situation.
- Usability
An incredibly big perk, of course, is usability. Nobody wants a software product with a huge manual. Even if software is functional, in that case there is little left to be excited about: after all, no one can find that great feature... Fortunately, modern tools are increasingly user-friendly. Under this heading, we actually also count speed of the software and the landing page. After all, we no longer need to tell you that the speed of your page is directly related to the final conversion.
- Price
Price is relative, which is why the success of a SaaS solution hinges on its capabilities. If you are able to either attract more sales or save enormous amounts of time, then price need not be as big a stumbling block.
1. Instapage
Instapage is one of the best-known landing page builders and can count major brands among its clients, such as Ebay, Vimeo, Skyscanner and even HelloFresh. Instapage claims clients "generate up to 400 percent more revenue on their digital ad campaigns using Instapage. Quite a claim; so you understand that Instapage is convinced of the power of the software and is not afraid to propagate it.
Instapage's software works quickly and is easy for beginners to follow. You can get started with a drag-and-drop editor; something almost all tools offer these days. However, the reports stand out Instapage: you can analyze data to your heart's content. However, there are also two major drawbacks. One is that you cannot work with pop-ups, something that we actually count as standard for a modern tool.
As mentioned, with Instapage you can have a good-looking page up and running within minutes, but there are a little too few features as far as we're concerned in the standard package. Moreover, Instapage's subscriptions are quite pricey compared to the competition: for Build you pay $68 per month, for Convert and Ignite you pay prices on demand.
2. Unbounce
Unbounce has also built up quite a reputation by now. This is partly due to one of the best drag and drop builders in the industry, but beware: this tool is not necessarily user-friendly for beginners. Should you not let that deter you, you can get started with lots of options to increase the conversion rate of your efforts. For example, you can of course A/B test, integrate with Google Ads and track and analyze extensive visitor statistics.
This also makes Unbounce one of the more expensive packages in the market, depending on which package you end up choosing. The two main factors affecting the prices of these packages are the number of pages you can put live, on the one hand, and the possible integrations to link Unbounce with third-party tools, on the other.
Prices for Unbounce's subscriptions start at $90 per month (with Launch) and then go up quickly. In short, you pay more at Unbounce and get more advanced tools in return. That's not a problem for Unbounce; they target more experienced users who are simply willing to pay the price.
3. LeadPages
Leadpages is also a well-known name and clearly hopes to differentiate itself on the price factor. For example, there are already more than 160 templatse free to use by default. The drag and drop editor is also a very user-friendly option. Of course, you also sacrifice options for this price: for example, you can't do standard A/B testing, but in practice it is possible to find a way around this by using another tool, for example. If you opt for the more expensive subscriptions, then this is included and you can also integrate with other important tools, such as e CRMs from HubSpot or Salesforce.
LeadPages' standard package starts as low as $37 per month, but keep in mind that these prices apply when checking out a full year's worth.
4. ClickFunnels
ClickFunnels is mainly about, as the name suggests, the development of marketing funnels. For example, you can build landing pages for different moments in the customer journey and build a separate page for upselling, cross-selling or even down-selling. You can also set up separate funnels for specific purposes, such as selling a membership or signing up for a webinar.
ClickFunnels is therefore packed with sales-oriented features, which you do not easily come across from other parties. The downside is that many of these features are fairly 'American' and do not work directly on the European market. By the way, if you do find this very interesting, you can sign up for several free and paid training courses from some highly recognized marketers. Because ClickFunnels is so focused on sales, you do sacrifice the ability to customize your landing pages.
5. AdPage
With AdPage, you choose reliable and very fast landing pages. These can then be segmented and personalized. It is nice to know that the templates offered by AdPage have already been tailored and tested for the Dutch market and are also completely up-to-date with the latest AVG regulations.
Are you already familiar with the power of "multisteps"? You can dynamically submit your questions to your visitors based on answers and data. AdPage helps you get started with these multisteps and therefore you no longer need a separate tool such as Google Forms or Typeform. You will also find various options to create pop-ups or offer discount codes to your visitors.
Are you already using other tools? No problem, because you can seamlessly integrate AdPage with existing tools like Mailblue, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, Salesforce or any of 500(!) other tools. One disadvantage of AdPage may be that you don't have the option to download your landing pages to your own (local) environment or server.
You can start with AdPage from 39 euros per month, but you can also request a free trial period. You don't have to worry about unexpected extra costs as soon as your visitor numbers increase: you can receive up to 100,000 visitors on a single landing page with the entry price of 39 euros.
The AdPage team is also known for its dedicated support!
